Fabijanijevo leto

KONCEPT Kako zajeti delo Maksa Fabianija, izjemnega načrtovalca, arhitekta, urbanista, inženirja … v en sam znak? Hribarjava hiša v Ljubljani s kvadratasto mrežo in valovitimi, rombasta fasada Bartolijeve hiše v Trstu, mozaičnost dunajske stavbe Portois & Fix, dunajska Artaria, ornamentarnost tržaškega Narodnega doma; ob tem smo zaznali še novo triogelno povezavo: Dunaj – Ljubljana – Trst, mest, ki so Fabijanija, arhitekta monarhije Avstro-Ogrske, tudi močno zaznamovala. Hkrati smo opazovali domišljeno načrtovana stopnišča, stabilne konstrukcije in drzne tlorise urbanističnih posegov, kar je zopet vodilo v trojni koncept arhitektovega dela: tloris – naris – stranski ris.

THE CONCEPT How to capture the work of Max Fabiani, an exceptional designer, architect, urbanist, engineer … in a single character? His work is not only large in quantity, but it shows an extremley wide varaity in terms of quality.(To bi bilo lahko vzeto da kakovost niha iz slabega na dobro) In search of a concept for the development of a logo and integrated project Fabijanijevo 2015 we were most impressed by the principle of threepartism, which is present in the different elements Fabianis’ work. Threepartism, trinity, three-dimensionality, etc. Threeangolarity, are the principles on which we have started building our design. DESIGN The first sketches were based modular building blocks whose inspiration we found in Fabianis buildings, especially facades. Hribar house in Ljubljana with square mesh and corrugated, diamond Bartoliji house facade in Trieste, mosaic Viennese building Portois & Fix and Artaria, ornaments Trieste Narodni dom; while we detected the link: Vienna – Ljubljana – Trieste, cities that have strongly affected Max Fabianij, the architect of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. At the same time, we looked at thoughtfully designed staircases, stable structure and daring plans of urban interventions, which again led to a triple concept of the architect’s work: layout – front view – side view. The most powerful block element of our design represents a grid derived from the orthogonal projection of a three-dimensional coordinate system. The grid consists of diagonal inclined 30 degrees positive and negative from the z-axis, this creates triangular, hexagonal, ect. forms. In this work we wanted to include the concept of elements and ornaments that Fabiani combined in his work: the contrast and antishape, wave and infinity, lace and transparency. RESOLUTION The logo is the letter “F” drawn in a coordinate system based on our grid. The stem represents a frontal view, which was inspired by a system square grid with the middle lane curve, inspired by the facade of the house Hribar, other sides are monochrome to keep the contrast clear.
